What does day camp consist of (Besides FUN!)?/locations/houston/images/ablast.jpg

Each camp day consists of several fun science activities and projects, free time, and a “snack-tivity. Half-Day camps run from 9am - 12pm; Full-Day camps are from 9am - 3pm. Full-Day camps include a lunch break so all Jr. Mad Scientist’s need to bring a sack lunch each day. Most of the activities in a Mad Science Camp take place indoors. However, campers may go outside for specific projects or play time so it is advised that campers apply sunscreen and bug spray each morning. Campers should also wear comfortable clothing that can “get messy”. When considering the grade level we think of it as grade the Jr. Mad Scientist is going into.  Allcampers must be potty trained.

Licensing Information

Mad Science camps are not licensed by the State of Texas nor are we a child-care facility or day-care center. Mad Science camps do not include any specific activities which would cause physical risks to children in our care. Since our camps do not include activities such as swimming, horseback riding, or archery, any physical risk would be the same as normal life. If an incident should occur such as a scraped knee, fall from a tipped chair, or bump of any kind it would be reported to parents with a call or a report upon pick-up depending on the injury.

All Mad Scientists have had background checks through the Texas Department of Public Safety.
